Tender Prayer

I have had the opportunity to spend so much time with the Sosa kids lately. I love them to pieces! Tonight, we knelt down to pray before bedtime. Tanner wanted to say the prayer so badly. I'm so glad he offered the prayer because his prayer was so tender!
Here are some phrases from his prayer:
Please bless all the animals we have.
Please bless all the people.
Please bless that we will love all our animals and all our people.
And my favorite...... Heavenly Father, please bless that you will get all the presents that you want.
The cutest prayer ever.
I sure do love that boy!

A little less stressed..

Finals are coming up.
I've been studying tons and tons and tons.
I've been so stressed.

Today I was talking to my mom and she kept mentioning the mail.
She told me that Court had sent me a Christmas card.
She asked if I check my mail box a lot.
She told me to check my mail.
I was so confused as to why she kept bringing up my mail.
I let it be and went to check my mail box.
I first glanced in and there was no card for me.
I looked a little deeper and found a slip that said I had a package waiting for me.
I was so excited!!
I never get anything in the mail-let alone a package!
I sign for the package and notice it is from my parents.
No wonder she kept telling me to check my mail!
My parents are amazing.
They sent me a "Finals Week Survival Kit"
I love them dearly.
This package made my day.
I could not stop smiling-specially as I read the tender note that was in the package.
My mom sent all my favorite treats.
In the note she said: "We have taken out all the calories so you can eat until your heart is content and you don't even have to feel guilty."
I love them so much.
I am no longer as stressed to for my finals.
Thank you mom and dad!!! You're the best!!!

Inside the package:
Blow pop's
Reese's
York's
Chocolate Oreo's
Charleston Chew's
Granola bars
Fruit Roll-up's
Gushers
Fruit by the foot.

No one told me college would be this hard..

On Tuesday I got back from a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I loved the break.
I spent SO much time with my family.
I got to try Texas Roadhouse for the first time (an experience I hope to never re-live)
I saw You Again with my mom and sissy.
I saw Life as We Know It with some girl friends.
I ate at Wingers. (mmmmm!!)
I spent time with both the Sosa and Dayton kids and loved every moment of it.
Went shopping with my two sissy's and Cooper.
I attended a missionary farewell to a dear friend.
I made homemade oreo cookies. TWICE!
I made sugar cookies from scratch.
Had a cheer reunion.
And I spent some more time with my family.

I just need to say how much I love and appreciate my mom. This Thanksgiving I was able to spend so much time with my mom. When I left on Monday I was trying to be so strong. I was not going to cry. As I am about to get on the freeway my phone rings and it is my mom. I answer and all I hear is sniffling and "I love you." So much for being strong. Before I know it we're both sobbing. I cannot wait to see her again :)

Back to college.. this week has been so stressful! I cannot wait until this semester is over. My brain needs a serious break!! Finals are coming up. Here's to:
not leaving the apartment for a full week due to studying,
late nights with highlighters and textbooks,
and cram sessions.
I pray I make it through finals!
